Last April was the first time my husband and I flew with my peanut allergic daughter. We flew from Calgary to L.A. (short 3 hour flight) with West Jet. It was a great experience. They asked if we wished to announce the allergy which we thought wasn’t necessary but they did anyway. They also asked the people in the row in front and behind not to open anything with peanuts or nuts. The airline as wanted to wipe the seats and tray down which again we felt was not necessary. WJ also had snacks that were ‘peanut free’ but we declined just out of pure fear….we did bring our own snacks.

West Jet was made aware of my daughter’s allergy when I booked our flight, and I called a couple of days ahead of time as well and then reminded them when we boarded the flight. They were MORE then accommodating and I cannot wait to take another holiday with them as our flight carrier.
