Hi All,

New here and look forward to talking to others. I had many many allergies growing up and had allergy shots for about 10+ years. I seem to have grown out of them for the most part but new ones seem to crop up - some pencillins, suplha, dental freezing, lemons...and it appears a lactose intollerance.

I figure I have had asthma pretty much all my life but not dignosed till college. It has gotten progressively worse, especially over the past few years.

I look forward to getting to know the folks here!

Welcome JAMY!

I too had allergy shots for a long time - for dust. This would be in the 70s when I was a kid... Looking back I'm thinking that they went on for far too long, and I'm really not sure they made much of a difference for me. I do think the allergist in our town made a lot of money off my allergy shots and those of the rest of my family. (He had his own lab - which is no longer allowed.)

I like to think allergy shots have come a long way since then, not to mention the ethics of owning the lab that produces the medication that you are prescribing to your patients!

But I digress... hopefully you'll find some help and info here. :)

K.
