Hi, my name is Kathy and I have a 6 year old son with a peanut allergy and he will be entering grade 1 in Sept. Since he started school, I have had increasingly difficult situations arise dealing with "may containing traces of" foods being brought into the school and classrooms. I know I cannot "ban" these foods but all I'm striving for is the least amount of exposure possible. Has anyone out there had the experience of this situation before and can help me because the principal, some teachers, and others just don't "get it" and how life threatening some allergies are? HELP
