hi all
my name is tyler im from chicago im 32 years old
im a stay at home mom
i have been allergin to penicillin all my life

as an adult i found that i also was alergic to latex
i recently ( saturday)
found out that i am allergic to seafood and guinee pig hair...im not sure what varieties if seafood for sure, and im not sure if its all rodents or just guinne pigs, im waiting for my scratch test.

i was very glad to hear about this site. i look forward to talking and swapping info with all of you. :)

Hi tyler! Welcome to the forum. It's good that you are going to get tested for seafood! I think the way it generally works is that people who are allergic to one type of shellfish should avoid all shellfish . . .but people who are allergic to a particular type of fish only have to avoid the fish they are allergic to. Let us know how the testing went!

thank you.. i know that i am allergic to shrimp, and salmon.. im not positive about any others, i dont get my scratch test untill october 9th but i will keep you posted.

You may want to check out the fish allergy topics. I believe that some people had difficulty with some shellfish that tested negative on the skin test unless they used fresh samples. (a piece of salmon or shrimp I think).
