Hi there, I am so happy i found this board as I am currently feeling a bit overwhelemed by all my son's allergies.
I know I will learn a lot here and will find plenty of support.

Welcome Shakita, it can be overwhelming at first, indeed the entire first year is a callenges as each season brings new concerns (each festival or family gathering).

It does get easier as you find the basic foods he can eat and recipes to avoid those which he can't.

Check out the boards to see how others managed. Feel free to post a concern, solution or even just to vent if you need to. :)

Hi Shakita,

Welcome - I think you're our first member from the lovely Bahamas.

Once you learn to get things under control, life does become manageable again. Just take it a day at a time, there is a bit of a learning curve to this lifestyle of label reading and food precautions.

It gets to be habit once you've done for it for a while. Look around the archive as well the forum - there are some useful stories on anxiety, dealing with relatives, etc.
