I have idiopathic anaphylaxis with reactions on average once every 3 months and want to travel to the States. I cannot get travel insurance because they say that I have a pre-existing medical condition and that there is a reasonable expectation that I will have a reaction so I am excluded from coverage. Does anyone have any ideas for me? We told the kids 2 days ago that we are going to Disney World and now I feel like a prisoner in my own country (even if it is a beautiful country!).

bce,

I don't have an answer for you short-term. See the Travel thread. This subject has come up there.

Allergic Living has an article on this subject in the works for early next year.
