Hi everyone, I'm new here, how's it going?

I see most people here have food allergies. I don't have any food allergies, but I have a severe allergy to cats and dogs plus I have asthma. Cats are the worst, about 30 minutes and my breathing is so bad it's time to go to the ER. Dogs are less severe, so maybe I get about an hour before I can't breathe.

It certainly limits the places I can go. I think about 11 out of 10 households have a cat or a dog or both. Oh yeah, I'm allergic to horses too, I found that out on a trail ride.

Well I hope to learn & share lots here. In fact I already have a question posted and it is here:

see you around

Glad you found us!

Yes, there are many allergies beside food allergies. The problem with food allergies is that, like asthma and breathing, we need to eat to survive.

Great question in your link...I'll see what I can find. Meanwhile, take a look at the articles about asthma at Allergic Living's link to the magazine article archives. Click on the Allergic Living name in the top left corner and follow it to archives.
