Travelling is a major pain for me, so I thought I'd start a thread on travel supplies for the food allergic.

I have bought a rice cooker. (If anyone is interested in what type I'd recommend, let me know).

Since Gwen posted about it, I've had my eye on this product: http://www.breville.com.au/products_detail.asp?prod=207

I saw these microwavable bags by Glad reviewed in the paper recently:
http://cookwithglad.ca/ Has anyone tried this product? It supposedly is safe for cooking meat--has anyone tried it?

I also take a coffee grinder with me to grind dry rice before making porridge out of it (I can cook that in a bowl in the microwave). Plus I add ground rice to my flatbread---it makes it less dry and improves the consistency.

I'm also interested in hearing about favourite (really large) insulated lunch bags with lots of room for ice packs.
