Do you want a kitchenette or will a bar fridge and a microwave do?

We stayed at the Novotel indowntown Toronto last summer and they were very good to us. They gave us a complimentary bar fridge and we got along with just the fridge and the microwave.

The Delta East near the Toronto Zoo is very family friendly and will provide you with a microwave at no extra charge if you tell them that your child has a food allergy. All rooms come with a minifridge. We stayed there last year and I had emailed ahead of time to see if my daugther (peanut/tree nut allergy) could eat in the restaurant. I have posted the response from the Delta below. Notwithstanding the response that they could prepare a meal for her, we did not end up eating in the restaurant with her. We had brought all of her food and simply heated it up in the microwave they had provided for us.

Good Morning Nadia,

Thank-you for your e-mail. I'm pleased to say that we do offer rooms with a fridge and a microwave complimentary for guests who have dietary needs. We also provide specially made meals for guests that have allergies as well, just let your server know. We will do out best to accommodate your daughter. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

I recommend you get a room with a full kitchen as it gives you more flexibility to cook better meals. There are lots of suite hotels in Toronto depending on which part of town you want to stay in and they are not all expensive.
