Hello,

I will be in Ottawa - Nov 18-21 for a hockey tournament and was hoping to get some recommendations for restaurants that people have had a postive experience with. We are dealing with peanut/tree nut allergies only.

We are staying in the downtown area but will have a car.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have also heard that there may be a bakery there that is nut free. Does anyone know of this place?

Hi there, Under the dining out thread I put our recent experience at Moxies. It was unreal. The head chef at the moxies we ate at is also the head chef for all regional Moxies. He assured me that all of Ottawa Moxies approach meals for those with special need with the same care and attention.

Boston Pizza we've had 2 positive experiences at but only at the Innes Road location.
I have heard that the Keg in the Marketplace (downtown) is good with allergies. We've never eaten there with DS.

I haven't heard of any nut/peanut free bakery but that might be because most bakery items are off limits to us anyway due to sesame. I'll see if I can find out if there is one near the downtown area for you.

There is a nut free bakery in Ottawa, its the Cake Shop on Greenbank, near Hunt Club. They have cookies, cakes and bread, all peanut/nut free.
