Some of my allergies started as a teen and others arrived after the births of my children. My allergist said it was common after hormonal changes to have new allergies. My hair was stick straight as a child and with each birth it got curlier too! (I sometimes joke that maybe at menopause I will go back to sleek straight hair and get to eat anything I want! But I realize it likely won't happen!)

Now, as my eldest daughter approaches the teen years I am watching her as she eats tree nuts, peanuts and the fruit I react to. I plan to test her in a few years or when I see a reaction. Has anyone had this experience?

a year ago my oldest daughter half way through puberty developed a milk allergy. She can't even be around cooking milk products.
