My first 2 have allergies, the baby gets some random hives from contact to something so we're pretty sure he has allergies too, we just haven't figured out to what yet. We walk around with so many epi-pens and medical kits it's getting crazy! The hubby and I have officially decided no more kids.. We just have the worst luck..

On a more encouraging note, besides the kids having like a permanent cold for the past few weeks due to starting daycare, everything is going well there so far. DD1 brings her won food and they sit her at a seperate table right next to the other one to avoid chance to cross contamination and DD2 eats the food provided, because the daycare is peanut/nut free. The owner of the daycare has a wife with serious allergies apparently, so he knows what it's like and it's nice to have someone like that there.

It's a hard decision to make and I'm sure your kids are wonderful dispite your "luck".
I always felt that 3 was the perfect number of children.

It's great that the daycare owner 'gets' it - and 3 is a nice number any way. :thumbsup

3 always them to form and change aliances and teaches diplomacy. :frightened
It's kind of like survivor island, but in a good way!
Of course, being number 4, I'm kind of glad my parents had more! :happydance

With us, the allergies were one of the reasons we decided to end it at two. I had mild allergies that I outgrew as a toddler, plus still have hayfever. Dh has no issues, but his brother had a bunch of allergies as a child, and is still PA, plus has asthma. My brother has asthma, and our kids both have MFA, and both sets of cousins are fine! We thought we had bad luck with our first, then found out about DS's TNA, and just shuddered at the thought of having a third who had different allergies, like soy, fish or wheat. . . .

This reminds me of one of Sam Yaffe's "frank take" columns for AL from a couple of years back.

It's called: Four KIds, the New Two? http://allergicliving.com/index.php/201 ... e-new-two/

Great article, and yes, I can totally relate. A third child, with or without allergies, would put me past the sanity/insanity tipping point.
