My son takes singulaire on a daily basis. There is only one type that he can take as he is allergic to dairy. I received an email from a friend stating that:

"all drugs containing phenylpropanolamine are being recalled...linked to increaded hemorrhagic stroke and siezures"

I will be phoning my son's doctor tomorrow as phenylpropanolamine is an active ingredient in his tablet. Anyone else hear of this recall?

Check out the Urban Legends site snopes.com:

http://www.snopes.com/medical/drugs/ppa.asp

They rate this one as "true but outdated".

So it appears it might be worth looking into.
