Recently we bought some delicious Chinese food takeout. Then I had a mild-mod food reaction. Now I know I'm allergic to shellfish. But I didn't order any shellfish. So, I researched and found that some places use "oyster sauce" for flavoring. BTW it does add a good taste. That particular restauraunt denied they did this. So I had it other places and I was fine; then I tried there place again. Again, allergic reaction.

Just a warning. :?

Justine, Be very careful with Asian cooking and shellfish. It is often an ingredient in sauces. A lot of well meaning kitchens are not up on the ingredients of their ingredients.
