Some companies have good policies regarding labelling for possible cross contamination.
Unfortunately, it's difficult to create a mental list of every manufacturer and their version of this policy...

WE NEED LEGISLATION ON PRECAUTIONARY LABELLING!

The Canadian government spent $$ on gathering information from stakeholder in the winter of 2009-2010. We were told that the government would issue a statement on this in the Spring of 2011. Granted, we had an election and that slowed the process but never the less, we kept the same government! It has been over a year.

What is happening on this issue?

Daughter: asthma, allergies to egg, milk, peanuts, tree nuts, most legumes (not soy) & penicillin. Developing hayfever type allergies.
Husband: no allergies
Me: allergies to some tree that flowers in May
Cat: allergic to beef, pork and lamb
