Has anyone ever called Beatrice to find out if they label for May Contains?

Or does anyone know if Egg Nog might have tree nuts?

My daughter used to love it but now she has had mild reactions twice - unfortunately she forgot the previous reaction and had it again today :oops

from Health Canada: A coconut is a seed of a fruit and nutmeg is obtained from the seeds of a tropical tree.
Given that she is allergic to many fruit it could be the nutmeg... It wasn't a bad reaction but want to avoid it regardless. I missed Beatrice's office hours today but will call tomorrow.

The rep from Beatrice was very good. He created a report, gave me a number for the report and said he would call me back within a few days.

My questions were:
Could there have been cross-contamination with tree nuts?
What is the artificial flavour?
What is the spice?

Thankfully her reaction was not severe but obviously would like to know the ingredient that caused it. If it is nutmeg, definitely want to know that with the "Nutmeg" season coming up!

Parmalat (Beatrice) was impressive. They gave me a reference number but called me within a day and left a message. When I called back they quickly got the person on the line.

She confirmed that there were no nuts in the product, on the line or in the plant. She provided the spices and not surprising that one was nutmeg.

I was impressed at the customer service - each person was helpful, polite and sympathetic. I like that they provided the detail about "in the product, on the line or in the plant" and willingly gave me the names of the "spice" used.

Forgot to ask if they do label for May Contains :swing
