This very good to know and makes me feel better about keeping my youngest far away from dogs. He's severely allergic to dogs and cats and peanuts (and milk and eggs) - and we try very hard to keep him away from dogs, but it's more because of the dog itself, and less because of what the dog may have eaten. (Until now!)

Sometimes I've worried that I'm being overly dog-hostile (I used to love dogs - sigh), and have given my son a bit of a complex about dogs (he has gotten the message and is a bit nervous of them). But obviously there is some risk that a dog would have consumed any of those foods (I've heard of eggs in dog food as well) and if the dog then licks my youngest... well that wouldn't be good.

K.
