I used to buy Nature's Path, before my DD was diagnosed with PA. They label for shared equipment with peanuts. The only other brand I can find is Bobs Mills and they label for tree nuts (she's also allergic to pecans). Is there a safe ground flax seed out there?!

I buy my flax seed and other grains from www.quinoa.com which is in Saskatchewan. I have just checked for nuts, but you could ask about peanuts too. On their site they have Canadian and Mexican flax, so just go with the Canadian one. Their prices are very reasonable and they have always been helpful when I have phoned. Good luck.

Hi, For our son I buy Nature's Path FlaxPlus seeds and they only label that it is produced in a facility which contains soy.
Superstore is where I buy this one.

Thanks for your replies. I'll have to check out the quinoa site. BC2007, they used to only label for soy (our old bag said only soy) but now they label for sharing with peanuts as well. And something else, but I don't remember.

crickette79. Thanks so much for the heads up. I thought maybe you had bought a different package. AAARRRGGG! I am getting very irritated with what seems like a trend lately for ingredient warning changes on 'safe' products.

You're welcome for the heads up. I've put in emails to two other companies that I found at the health food store and didn't label any may contains and I'll let you know what I find out.

So, Omega Nutrition got back to me and said their products are peanut free and safe for my daughter (if you have a coconut allergy I don't think they'd be safe). I'm happy about that because there are two stores near me that carry their products. You can also order their products online.
