I agree Gwen, my post was just to clarify my original post. I didn't want people to assume 3 Muskateers was safe given what I originally wrote. I tried calling Effem today to see if I could get some clarification and their phone system wouldn't allow me to talk to a real person this time. I was only able to leave a message. I'll let you all know if/when I get a call back.

Just received a call -- the woman I spoke to said that the 3 Muskateers bars that are sold in Canada are actually made in the US and not in the peanut-free Newmarket plant. In trying to explain the info. I was originally given, she said it could be that the peanut-free plant manufactures 3 Muskateers bars for export to another country - but wasn't certain.
She said the only peanut/nut free product manufactured in the Newmarket plant for sale in Canada is the Mars bar.
She did add that Effem makes Starburst and Skittles at a plant in the US (for sale in Canada) that only manufactures those two products and they are peanut / nut free.

I really don't mind sharing -- but can't we keep some here for us Canadians.
