Hi.

My 5 year old peanut/treenut/legume allergic DD got invited to a birthday party at Mcdonalds.
She has eaten safely there on numerous occasions but now there is the Mcdonalds birthday cake involved which we have never had to deal with.

I called the head office this morning and left a message regading ingredients, where the cake is produced and if the facility where it is produced has peanuts/treenuts.
I have not recieved a responce yet, but will let you know as soon as I do.

My question is have any of you eaten or have had any of your allergic kids eat this cake from Mcdonals?
Thanks for your help.

I am sending the link to the Canadian web site that lists all ingredients in their products:

http://www.mcdonalds.ca/en/food/foodFacts.aspx

This lists products that say may contain but I am not sure that it lists all items:

http://www.mcdonalds.ca/en/food/safety_allergens.aspx

HI.

I got a response from the head office this week.

They told me the cakes are made in a facility that proccesses treenuts only, no peanuts. They also state that the risk of cross contamination is slim.

My PA/TNA/legume allergic DD brought her own Ange Gardien chocolate chip muffin, we iced it with Betty Croker rainbow bit frosting and sprinkled some heart shaped sprinkles on it. She brought it in her pink cup-a-cake muffin carrier, and all was well that day.
