Interesting, but do they still have vats of peanuts in the lounge area? I remember having peanuts shells all over the floors & counters.

That was the same as our Montana's in Vancouver. The lounge floors were covered solid in peanut shells, it was the trendy thing to do to throw them on the floor. Of course I never knew about allergies then, I was just very shocked at the mess and how no staff or customers ever slipped and fell. Now thinking back it makes me go :frightened

True...I would hope that soon companies would change this idea. I think that East Sides has done away with peanuts at the bar. I remember in college thinking how yucky that was. We have been a few times back to East Sides and have noticed the change.

I have only been to Jack Astors once in Ottawa...my sisters grad party. We were in the party room so I can't remember about the peanuts.
