In Ottawa, there is a new placed called Thimble Cakes that sells cupcakes that are free of
- peanuts (all)
- tree nuts (all)
- dairy (some)
- eggs (some, I believe)
- gluten (some)
- sugar (some)

And they don't use gelatin, apparently.

We went there today to check it out. The place is lovely - very funky décor with a mix of antique chairs and tables where you can sit and eat - reminds me of places on Queen St. West in Toronto!!

The cupcakes are delicious - but you should be aware that there *are* some that contain dairy (the cheesecake ones) and obviously the hot chocolate has dairy in it. The owner does keep things separate and is very aware of cross-contamination, but if you are very uneasy about having dairy on the premises, you should be aware of this.

There is coffee and tea and hot chocolate (and free water) available to drink.

Definitely check this place out. It's impressive.
