Hey everyone,

I just wanted to post to share my experiences at Chipotle Mexican Grill! This chain was formerly only in the States but has made it to Canada in the last couple of years, and made it in my good books for sure.

Their website is great, and has an allergen page where they state that they don't use any sort of treenuts, peanuts, shellfish, or eggs.

There are 3 in Toronto and one in North York (Yorkdale). I've ate at the one on Front street twice now and it has been a great experience each time. :bouncygreen

The first time I went I double checked their allergen policy just making sure after reading online, and the manager came out and gave me a special diet information card that showed which allergens were used and assured me that they are free of all nuts and shellfish. The food is delicious too! I had a burrito bowl before the Raptors game tonight! :banana

Their website is pretty good. I've just sent them an email to see if they could redo their allergen listings with Canada's priority allergens - including sesame etc.

I went to one in Phoenix and really enjoyed it. I hope they come to Alberta. They are free of my allergens. It is always nice to find a place where you can eat and not worry.

From the store....

Thanks for writing. We do not use sesame in our restaurants. I do want to let you know that there is a risk, however small, of potential contamination in our food supplier’s buildings.

I will forward your message to our team to let them know of your suggestion to add sesame info to our food allergy menu.

We appreciate your support, and hope to see you soon.

Sincerely,
Ashley
