Hey gang -

If you seem to be having problems posting, let me know. I just posted a message and got a DEBUG error message saying it couldn't be done - and yet the message was posted. So if this happens to you, (a) let me know and (b) check that your message was posted before posting it again.

This kind of things happens from time to time and is usually a server problem that rights itself. But i will inform the webmaster.

K.

Last night was the first I had seen this and I went back to delete a post that was duplicated (ok, so patience isn't my strongest virtue - I'm working on it). It presented a few times for me last night
I have encountered it once today as well

Have sent a note to the webmaster.

Meantime, unless anyone reports otherwise here, the posts do seem to take - despite the error msg.

I am getting the debug message -- but posts are going through.

Just wanted to add, I like that it's a *debug* message. Makes me feel it's safe for my son.

Hey gang -

I just posted a message and got a DEBUG error message saying it couldn't be done - in the past it seemed to go through anyway but not so this time. (I'm trying to post this anyway in case it goes through but is delayed)

This kind of things happens from time to time and is usually a server problem that rights itself. But I have informed the webmaster.

OK, it's still happening though posts are getting through.

I'll try Travis the webmaster by phone. He might not be on e-mail yet on Sunday a.m. pacific time.

Hi guys -

I am subbing for Susan the Moderator for a few days (until tomorrow).

I just sent a message to our webmaster, as I have been getting a lot of errors when I post in the past few days (since Monday), similar to this:

Quote:
-----------------------------------------------------
Ran into problems sending Mail. Response: 500 5.7.0 Authentication failed - bad userid or password

DEBUG MODE

Line : 132
File : smtp.php
-----------------------------------------------------

The messages actually do get posted, however. I have noticed that some people are double-posting and I am guessing it is because of this. Likely you guys think that your message is not getting through the first time.

So, I have two favours to ask:

1. If you get this kind of error message when you Submit a post, first check whether your message has been posted before reposting (Although I am happy to remove double posts - it's not a big deal.)

2. If you are having similar problems, can you reply here? Hopefully it's not just me!

K.

Webmaster is working on. It was fixed, then came unfixed.

Unfortunately, this coincides with another deadline we're on.
Pls. be patient, we'll get it resolved.
