I was happy to see this in our local paper today...

http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/historic/32508934.html

The author acknowledges serious food allergies, and shares some good recipes, including those for Candied apples dipped in coconut, Popcorn hands, Monster lollipops, and a Skeleton veggie tray.

While I won't likely use any of these this year since ds is still pretty young for most of them, I was pleased that the author mentioned allergies as a strong consideration for Halloween treat-sharing. I plan to contact her with feedback, and maybe we'll see some more allergy-safer recipes in the future!

Marla

p.s. If anyone has trouble with the link, just pm me and I can email you the recipes. It just seemed like too much to post all at once.

I think it's great that more food articles are being aimed at coping with food allergies. :)
