We are currently avoiding all tree nuts, not due to allergy, but because of cross contamination issues with peanuts.

I'd love to make baklava this Christmas. I was thinking of buying the unshelled nuts, scrubbing them really well, letting them dry and then shelling them myself. But I'm unsure? I don't want to do anything risky...

Does anyone else with PA, use tree nuts in this way? Or have an actual source for some uncontaminated ones?
