Mix in a small bowl
1 tbsp. yeast
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 cup hot tap water

Bring to a boil 1 cup sour cream, remove from heat
*I've warmed in the microwave when in a hurry*

Add to sour cream mixture:
2 tbsp. oil
3 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda

-Stir until lukewarm then:
Beat in one egg
OR as I use - equivalent to one egg
1 1/2 tbsp. cooking oil
1 1/2 tbsp. water
1 tsp. baking powder


Add yeast mixture to sour cream mixture.
Add 1 tbsp. cinnamon and 1 cup raisins.

Stir in 3 cups all purpose flour or enough until dough is soft but not sticky.
Cover and let rise 1 1/2 hours.
Knead and form into a greased loaf pan.
Cover and let rise an additional 1 1/2 hours.

Bake 350 approx. 50 min.








To make instead into cinnamon buns follow the recipe as below

Roll out on a floured surface. Spread dough with butter, cinnamon, brown sugar and
raisins. Roll up, slice and place in a greased pan.
Cover and let rise 1 1/2 hours.
Bake 350 15-20 minutes
