:thumbsup Easy to keep around, good for teenagers, gets rid of that wanting for something sweet, and Mom looks good without much work.

DD was inspired when I told her about your microwave s'mores. We took a cookie sheet with one tea light candle on it. I let her roast marshmallows and makes s'mores right at the table. :banana Safe for DS but he didn't like them.
...thank to my parent for bringing out from Vancouver a few bags of DANDIES Marshmallows when they came to visit...they are from a Chicago vegan company and are the only peanut, tree nut, sesame GELATIN free marshmallows!

...keep the good ideas coming Susan. :happydance

That is the exact same recipe for S'mores I've been using! We have a backyard fire pit, so we do often just roast them over the fire, then smear them onto the chocolate chips. Hard to get those little suckers to stay still :D

a "grown up" twist... Toster oven smores

Ingredients:
croissants (any size)
chocolate chipits
mini marshmallows

Slice the croissants open (not fully in 1/2) just enough to be able to stuff it. Then, fill with mini marshmallows and chocolate chipits. Bake on a tray in a toaster oven on 350 for 3 min.

The marshmallows come out looking toasted, chipits are melted, and croissant is nicely toasted! Extremely YUMMY, and you don't have sticky fingers at the end.

Susan, We made your microwave s'mores this week! YUM!!! They were a big hit with our kids, so much so that we had them 2 days in a row. Thanks for a great, FAST, treat. Also, a good one to bring along if I know our son cannot eat the dessert being served.
