Remember that cute book with all the photos called Mommy, Is This Safe to Eat? I mentioned it in an earlier post in this forum.

The same author has just published another book in the same kind of form called Starting School with a Food Allergy - Tips for a Peanut Allergic Kid.

You can read about it at her web site: Food Allergy Books for Kids.

I got a copy, and my youngest, who is starting grade 1 this year, really liked it. It's got lots of nice pictures and good basic advice for kids (that parents can also take note of).

Even though the focus is peanuts, I think you could use it for any allergy for the basic safety tips. Maybe one day someone will do similar books for dairy, egg, sesame seed, etc.

Check it out!

K.
