Here's a place to toot a horn -- your own or someone else's.

First toot is for Karen, who has now topped 1,000 posts.

AnnaMarie, thanks for staring this thread!

I want to Toot Toot someone I don't even know. A parent at my niece's school, with a "non-allergic" child, is hosting a peanut and egg free birthday party. Over the last 2 years of school (JK/SK), this parent noticed that a couple of kids with allergies were having to bring their own food to birthday parties. Not wanting them to feel left out, she's catering the entire event from a nut/egg free bakery (I think the parents of the kids with allergies pre-approved this bakery)!

What a kind hearted woman - and what a great role model she is for her children! :D

It's nice to know that not all the 'allergy free' community is as ignorant as the person who wrote the letter to Canadian Health magazine!

That's awesome, Supi. I agree - there are wonderful people out there.

Isn't it great when someone does a bit more then they really are obligated to? Bet those kids with allergies will really remember her. :D
