I received this email today:
Good morning everyone,

I think we’ve all been touched in some way by the disaster that happened in Haiti...Softmoc, a customer of Bell, has mobilized their stores across Canada to accept old shoes which they will be sending to Haiti...the shoe drive will be going on for 1 week from January 15 – January 22. For more information go to http://www.softmoc.com/

If you have some shoes that you would like to donate, please consider dropping them off at a nearby Softmoc store.

I am trying to publish a story about this in Monday’s Bell in Brief but in addition would ask you to share this information with your colleagues, friends and family.

Very “fitting” after our sock drive!

Thanks very much for spreading the word.

Thanks Susan - that's a great idea.
There's one on Bloor St. W. not far from me.

I'm sure we can manage several pairs.

I just contributed to Medecins Sans Frontieres this week. http://bit.ly/8xrBSj
Where are others donating?

Any other creative helpful initiatives?

I just sent a donation to the Red Cross, and will be rounding up some shoes for Soft Moc! Great idea.
