Training for a triathlon.. Oh yes.. Asthma and 3 preschoolers and full time student me is apparently going to be doing a triathlon in september.. I'm registered and paid for and everything. Mostly I got sick of hanging onto all this post baby weight and needed really good motivation to get out there and exercise. Also, if I don't do it, my husband wont either, and he needs it more than I do. I've got 3 months, I can already walk/run a 5k, swim the 750m distance so now I just need to add in the 20km bike and i'll be ready. Never pictured myself doing this, i've never been much of an athlete, but apparently it's never too late to start.

I'm also blog writing now, because I got the baking bug REALLY bad (another reason for the exercise, because the food is just so darned tasty). I write about my baking (allergy friendly to dairy, egg, peanut, nut and sesame) and my decorating that I do. I post photos of my cakes/cupcakes and such and a few of my recipes, and some stuff about my training and weight loss. I'd love to share the blog if you want to check it out, it's at http://threebeastsbaking.blogspot.ca

The recipes are good. I don't post all the ones I use, and there really aren't that many posts yet because I just started it, but it'll come together soonish.

That's awesome!!! Good for you both! It's on my bucket lust, and as a runner, the run would be no problem, and I think the bike would be OK, but man, oh man, I am a terrible swimmer, even after taking two sets of lessons (and already knowing how to swim before the lessons). I can do about 2.5 lengths of a 25 m pool and I'm panting like crazy.

Good luck with your tri!

Wow, congratulations, that's awesome! It is wonderful that you are setting a goal and reaching for it. Bonus points for having to challenge yourself and learn new skills along the way. Let us know how you do. :happydance
