My thoughts are with the flood victims of the flooding in Alberta. I can't imagine handeling evacuation and food allergies.

I second Susan's sentiments. I watched some of the video and saw pictures online--unbelievable conditions. I sure hope everyone is ok. Best wishes to everyone out there, because there will be a long journey for some to rebuild.

It's awful. We had some flooding in central Alberta too, albeit nowhere near the catastrophic events down South.

Calgary food banks are asking people to donate allergy-safe and gluten-free foods to help the evacuees. The Red Cross has also set up an online donation site dedicated to the Alberta floods.

A good reminder for everyone to have safe food in their emergency preparedness kits. Or just a reminder to make one...

We are headed to Banff tomorrow for a wedding. I cannot believe that they have the highway open already, after the damage last weekend. The affected regions are incredibly strong and will recover quickly, despite their many challenges.
