My 5 year old daughter was diagnosed with a peanut, a treenut (cashew and pistachio), and an egg allergy when she was just over 1 year old. She outgrew the egg allergy at around her 4th birthday. Yesterday I took her for her annual appointment and her skin test showed a negative result for peanuts and all nuts except pistachio. They took a blood test to verify the results before suggesting a food challenge. I’m trying not too get excited but I’m so hoping that she has outgrown the allergies (even outgrowing the peanut allergy would make starting kindergarten so much easier - there are no real guidelines for schools here in the states). Does anyone have any experience with this?

Not us yet but I do know of people who have outgrown peanut allergies.
It seems odd that she has outgrown so many at the same time but...starnger things have happened.
Good luck on the challenge.

My friends's daughter "outgrew" her peanut allergy and ate peanuts safely for about 4 years. Then one day she anaphylaxed on one and is now peanut allergic again.

daughter: 6 years tree nuts, peanuts
