We have been trying to find roasted peanuts without traces of tree nuts but have not had any luck.

Does anyone know where to get them?

We have found peanuts in the shell at Superstore that are not from a plant with tree nuts. We have to shell them ourselves. There are multiple kinds for sale so we check the label and call each time to make sure they are still safe.

Since my daughter had a successful oral challenge to peanuts, the Allergist wants her to continue eating them which still seems so strange after avoiding them.

We have also used the President's Choice peanuts in the shell. My ds is not allergic to peanuts, but is allergic to tree nuts. He has eaten these peanuts with no reaction.

Related to this topic, has anyone dealing with a tree nut allergy but not a peanut allergy found a safe peanut butter out there? I suppose we could shell our own peanuts and make our own, but I;m wondering if there are any peanut butters that declare the absence of tree nuts.

Thanks!

We have always eaten the Kraft smooth PB with no problems - the 2kg tubs you get at Costco. Ds had walnut challenge recently, so he is still very allergic to tree nuts (walnut, pecan, cashew, hazelnut - not sure about others). PB is a staple for him since he cannot have any dairy at all (PB provides some fat and protein).

ds - 12, ana to dairy, tree nuts

We eat either smooth or chunky Kraft peanut butter.
