So, we have determined that dove is evil, and so is st.ives scrub. Gotta wonder about other stives products and cross contamination and other "scientific names". So what shampoos, bodywashes, facial products, cosmetics, hand soaps are free of tree nuts (peanuts, milk, eggs)? I have been impressed with avons labeling in the past. Scientific names are usually followed by brackets containing the common term. I use revlon makeup, they label, however I now need to check for scientific names  . So, lets start a thread about what the good products are.

I must add that I have heard that sugar is a good face scrub. I will be using sugar tonight.

I took a look at what I have in the bathroom cupboards....I thought...Spectro Derm. That has to be safe...but then I looked at the label--"PEG 30 almond glycerides." At least they labelled it clearly! (I just started reading labels for cosmetic products recently. that spectro derm lasts me a long time.)

California Baby "super sensitive shampoo and bodywash" should be safe. they say: "no fragrance, no tears, hypoallergenic, no SLS, DEA, no nut oils, gluten, soy, or dairy". it does contain vitamin E and glycerin....I'm assuming that it isn't from soy since they've declared 'no soy'. It is kind of expensive.

I've been using a "grapefruit with aloe vera" "natural facial cleanser" made by the Green Beaver Company. http://www.greenbeaver.com/en/products.htm
I wonder if the grapefruit extract could be drying if one has sensitive skin, though. I seem to have thrown out the box so I can't verify the ingredients.

My best advise, thru experience. Dont use St. Ives Products. No guarantees. They use nut products. Call and you will find out same as I have. example is that 'Apricot Scrub', it contains 'ground walnuts'. though, not stated on pack. Since my conversation with them 3 weeks ago, they claim that it will be clearly listed in the future packaging.
