Just FYI: Kerr Jujubes are supposed to be free of peanut, nut, egg, dairy, and I think sesame seeds.

[Edited since split from the Life Brand peanut-free candies thread.]

Karen, if you still have the bag, could you see if those Kerr jujubes are soy free too? I've given up reading candy labels since so many seem to have soy as an ingredient, if not milk, eggs, and peanuts, too!

They seem to be soy-free. The ingreds are glucose syrup, sugar, modified cornstarch, glucose/fructose/dextrose, mineral oil (eep!), canauba wax, artificial and natural flavours, colour includes yellow #5.

I have spoken with their CSR and been assured there's no milk, peanuts, egg or dairy. A very vigilant girlfriend who is avoiding all those allergens plus sesame seed also buys them, and I trust her.

Their phone number is almost impossible to find on the web, but if you want it to call and check, I'll try to dig it out. Let me know.

K.

Thanks to both of you for the info. I will post once I get an answer about the soy.

The Life Brand candy definitely look to me like they were made by Dare, because they come with a plastic tab closure (like the kind you find on bread), just like the Dare candy.
