 Post subject: motrin ingredients

does anyone know if liquid motrin has wheat, gluten or caisien? katarah just had surgery a few weeks ago, and i can't get a straight answer from anyone..please help

I don't but I'll ask on another forum and reply if I get something.

I would think that if you call any pharmacy and tell them it's for a severely allergic child and ask them to confirm that the list of inactive ingredients doesn't contain those items, they should help you out. You haven't had luck with that? If one pharmacy doesn't help, call another, maybe. Some are more helpful than others.

I just googled "liquid motrin ingredients" and found this site:

Scroll down to see ingredients. I guess as long as the corn starch is pure corn starch and doesn't have any kind of wheat starch in it, it should be okay.

From a dairy/casein perspective, we've always been okay with it. As far as I can tell, having lived with a wheat allergy for 3 years, it seems okay to me. But that's just a layperson's take on it.

Is it causing her problems? There are lots of warnings on this site, as you can see. If it's causing her problems, you should consult your doctor.
