Earth Island soy cheese (dairy-free)

http://www.followyourheart.com/cheese_products.php

Another product that Susan turned us onto is the Earth Island soy cheese. We bought the mozzarella (again at the Great Canadian Superstore in Ottawa) and my youngest had a ham and cheese sandwich that very day. We grated it with a very fine grater. It's not bad - sort of tastes like tofu actually - but he likes it.

I will have to see what it's like melted on bread - he doesn't like spaghetti sauce so pizza really isn't going to happen, I don't think. Oh well - one thing at a time.

Karen,
I have started using the earth island on pizza and it certainly is the best thing I have found. It has a mild taste and melts not too bad. It is nice that you can shred it.

I've not found this product at The Great Canadian Superstore in Westboro (Ottawa) lately.
I asked an employee and was told that they are rotating between this and Nu Tofu 'cheese' (which has casien!) (approx 3 months each)
I am trying to determine which one store I can give my business to and ask it to please, please se the product as it is the ony one that I have found we like!
Do I have to purchase it directly in bulk?

We use the Earth Island "cheese" to make lasagna. I've given it to other family members and they couldn't tell the difference with real cheese.
