My nut allergic son received PEZ candy and a dispenser from someone and I've been trying to determine if it's safe for him to eat. The ingredients don't list any peanut/tree nut products and there isn't a "may contain" statement on the package either. The packaging states that it's made by PEZ CANDY INC in Orange CT USA, but there isn't a phone number listed for customer service. When I go to their website, I can't find any allergy info. or any way to contact the company via phone or email. I was just wondering if anyone has looked into this product already, and if yes, what you've found. (I suspect that PEZ only makes their hard candy -- but I'm not 100% sure that they don't manufacture other items under another company name etc.)

I called the 203-795-0531 number for PEZ Candy and spoke with customer service who said that their plant in CT USA only produces PEZ candy and there isn't any concern with cross contamination. She indicated that there was a Europe plant that was shipping to Canada at one time and that she wasn't sure about their plant -- but if the packaging makes reference to the product being made in the Orange CT USA warehouse, no worries.
