I was wondering if anyone has found a brand of rice cakes that are peanut nut egg and milk free. I used to purchase presidents choice brand or quaker but they all seem to contain milk or may contain nuts nowadays. :? If anyone knows any, i would love the suggestion. Thanks. :)

DS has eaten the "Plum M Good" brand of rice cakes without any reactions. That said, I just called the manufacturer (Van Rice Products, Inc.), and the person who answered said that while they don't have eggs or peanuts (I asked about those 2 specifically) in their factory, they can't guarantee that ingredients from their suppliers are clean. Given the fact that we've been using the cakes for at least a year without incident, we'll continue to, but it's all about your own comfort level/sensitivity, of course.

If you'd like to contact them directly yourself, their number is (604) 273-8038.

I have bought Lundberg rice cakes - http://www.lundberg.com/products/product_home.shtml (US product) - at my local health food store, and as well as Koyo - www.koyofoods.com (Canadian product). I sometimes find them in the organic section of our Loblaws as well.

We also buy Corn Thins corn cakes from Real Foods (Australia) - www.cornthins.com
.

Maybe check a health food store rather than your grocery store? Or if your grocery store has an organic section, try there? You might find brands other than PC there.
