I just thought I'd share that I was looking on cherrybrook's website and noticed they now have wheat/gluten free mixes too, in addition to the peanut/nut/milk/egg free that they have always had.

Are these available in the area?

At the botom of the page is an area marked store locator. Click on that and enter your postal code. If they don't have a store nearby, you can order online.

This I've got to know!!! how have you ordered on line with them? we have people in the US ship to us. Gets costly and is inconvenient for everyone in question.

Ages ago when I spoke with them, they suggested Amazon (not available on .ca, only .com which won't ship food products to Canada) Unfortunately as they don't do bilingual (Eng/Fr) labeling, it is apparently "illegal" for stores here to carry it (I do snag everything whenever I find them on shelves)

My friend had ordered and gave me some for my birthday. I believe she ordered through http://allergenfreefoods.com/index.html . I see their site is under construction at the moment...hopefully it will be up and running in the new year.

How do these mixes taste? I've seen this site before but was worried they might taste like cardboard. I've never had yellow cake though!!

Renie- Have you contacted the company and asked what they suggest?

The mixes are quite good - we've had the cakes, icings (prefer home-made) and sugar cookies. I think they're better than the regular allergy laden ones, but that's just my opinion.
Ya Susan - it was the company that suggested Amazon (don't think they knew it won't ship to Canada) and the allergenfreefoods to me. Sigh - I just wish they could be regularly stocked. At least we have a family member in LA and also some friends who travel, so we've got a means of keeping some stock...

We've had the brownies and the pancake mix (made as waffles). They were good. However, I'm refering to the "with gluten" ones. The gluten free I have not tried.

Great, thanks for the recommendations. I might head over to Whole Foods this week! I also have a 7 year old cousin with a wheat allergy so this would be fun for her to try as well (the gluten-free).
