I was at our local Independent store today and I found this new product from Natur-a: Glace dairy free frozen dessert. It is labelled as peanut and dairy free and it comes in chocolate, maple and vanilla flavours. I am going to contact the company, nurtisoya by email now. I am hopeful that this might be a product we can use. We can always use our ice cream maker but it is nice to have a convenient store bought item also when time is short. Has anyone else found this?
I forget how much it costs. I think 4.99. Allergy free eating is not cheap and sometimes I just don't look at the price if it is safe. I 'll let everyone know what I find out.
Kate

Please let me know if this product is okay, as I am always searching for ice cream like products for my daughter. Where is this store? I live in Winnipeg.

Independent is part of the Loblaws chain. When I hear from the company I will post their response here.

Here is the response from the company:

Hi Kate,

Our GLACÉ frozen dessert does not contain any dairy, eggs, peanuts and nut products. The production line is also used for dairy frozen desserts, but the packers follow a very strict sanitation protocol to eliminate all traces of these products before producing our GLACÉ. They never produce regular dairy ice creams on the same day than they produce our soy GLACÉ.

Hope this will help.

Thank you for the interest you’re showing in our products.

Thank you for the information, like yourselves I'm always looking for new dairy free products. When I'm in the States my daughter loves an ice cream product there that comes in flavours like cotton candy, tuti fruitti, etc. but I can't find it here.

Thanks again I'll search for it where I live.

I just bought the maple flavour today. It is very good. The chocolate is not all that great but I definitely like this one.
