Sweet Impressions in Winnipeg. So happy to have a local bakery that will bake dairy, egg, and peanut free cake or cupcakes for special occasions. Bakery also sells dairy, egg, and nut free cocoa, chocolate chips, and is selling Divvies products. So happy. :swing

Those retro aprons are really cute.

Next time I'm in the 'Peg to see relatives, I'll stop in.
I'll pretend it's just for an apron, though the smile on my face might scream: cupcakes! :thumbsup

Just a word of caution - when I was there over a year ago, they had dairy/egg free cupcakes on display, which I purchased a $2.85 each (ouch). They were clearlyl marked as diary and egg free - but when asked, they confirmed that the decoaration on top of the cupcake was not dairy/egg free. Could have been a dangerous mistake if someone didn't ask! They were working on a dairy/egg free cookie decoration solution at that time, but didn't have one. Perhaps they do now.

As always, buyer beware.

I think their peanut/nut free awareness is good as that's something they've been doing for a long time and they don't have those products on the premisis, but for dairy and egg I would be extra cautious!

When I initially requested cookies, cupcakes or cake to be dairy/egg free, I requested that they use Fleischman's Lactose Free Margarine because the margarine they were using at the time did contain milk ingredients. They will do this upon special request when I order from them. I too am cautious like you and specifically requested to know what ingredients they used, and they have become more aware of these other allergies as their initial focus was on peanut allergies.

I wish I had known about this company before the holidays! They have some really cute baked goods. Much more creative than the cookies I made for Christmas! I didn't see a specific non-dairy section on the website. Do you just request this at the time you place your order? It kind of worries my that they had a cupcake labeled as diary/egg free when it obviously wasn't.

The bakery now has a section that is dedicated to dairy and egg free products. They also sell Divvies products which saves me alot of delivery costs. The owners are very conscious of the food allergies and word has spread that this is a safe bakery for dairy, egg, and peanut/nut free products. I totally trust it.

Was in the neighbourhood this week so dropped by for a peak. They've definately increased their allergy friendly product base and knowledge. They had cookies (sugar and oatmeal chocolate chip) that were nut/peanut, dairy & egg free. They have Divies candy, popcorn - but not their cupcakes or cookies :o

They also have a collection of Cherrybrook Kitchen mixes, and a soynut butter I've never seen before. Will try that when we need some. Interesting variety and beautifully decorated treats.

That is the only soy butter that we use and although my daughter can eat peanut butter, she loves that soy butter.

While pricey, Sweet Impressions products are well worth it! Delicious cupcakes, cakes and cookies. Their decorating is incredible.
