YUM YUM YUM!!!! My SIL ordered one of these cakes for a party tonight and it was amazing! We will be ordering from them for all special occaisons. We had a white cake with strawberries and cream. It was beautifully decorated and the taste was insane. No one was any the wiser there was no egg in the cake. I just can't say enough about the cake. :) It is a bit of a drive for us (45 minutes each way) but definitely worth it for special occasions. I am freezing the rest of the cake in pieces, so we can bring it for Violetta if we need a treat for her.

Gertie girl, so happy you found a safe yummie treat. :happydance I bet it was very tempting sitting in the car for 45 min coming home with the cake. Was it DD's first time eating a bakery treat? What did she think?

Luckily DH went and got the cake! LOL The worst part was that Violetta didn't even get to try it, it was too late and she was so tired, she didn't even want to try it. So, I'm going to give her some today. :) I've learned to do a lot of safe baking for her, but it's nice to have someone else do it once in awhile.

I'm with you on that one.
I love it when after making 100 different things someone suggests I try to make the one thing we can actually safely buy. For instance, Sunbutter. A family member suggested just going to the bulk store ( :frightened ) and buying sunflower seeds and making my own. First, I won't comment on the bulk store aside from my smilies icon, secondly, why would I make something I can actually buy, third....WHO has the time to make their own Sunbutter, peanut butter, pea butter, nut butter, whatever kind of butter. Do you know how many sunflower seeds must go into one jar of Sunbutter as small as they (the jars) are?? It would be really fresh if I shelled my SPITZ Sunflower seeds myself :rofl

I scoped out the neighborhood and I think I can harvest enough sunflowers fresh from neighbors gardens, nothing like extra fresh shelled sunbutter. :happydance

LOL!! BC2007... you can jar enough for the winter even! And now it's even free... except for the 10 hours it will take you to shell enough for one jar. :swing
