I have a few recipes I want to try that call for toffee bits, I haven't been able to find any that are peanut and tree nut free, does anybody know of any?

I would make my own hard toffee in this case. It's really easy and makes a lot! (Keep the leftovers in the freezer for later.)

Hard Toffee:

pour it onto a greased baking sheet, let cool, and bash it to pieces
(chocolate is optional - depends on what you are using it for)

Honeycomb:

FYI - Earth Balance seems to work just fine in these recipes for those avoiding dairy. :)
