Over the years, I have loved Chapmans, but always wished there were more flavours. Then I noticed their ad in Allergic Living magazine, and realized there are more, but obviously just not where I shop. I recently went to a Sobeys and was absolutely thrilled to see many different flavours and treats I've never tried. The check-out lady must have thought I was crazy buying so many cartons of ice cream in winter!

I do the same at the Sobey's in Toronto's west end. Gotta have the Chapman's.

Thank goodness we don't wipe out the same store!

Big hit with my non-food-allergic relatives, too.

Giant Tiger carries a wide range of Chapman's ice cream as well as novelties we have not seen elsewhere e.g., caramel filled fudgsicles

mmmm.....sorbet....rainbow...so good ....for those of you who are having trouble getting it...go ask at your local grocery store, they'll get it if you ask....consumer power!!! Lots of ice creams have "may contain" on it. It's so nice to know you can trust Chapmens. :huggy :banana

Just found the new Cookies and Cream in the carton (no treenuts/peanuts) at Giant Tiger and it was a hit! (there is also a tub version that is not safe for treenuts).

I have recently found that the Selection brand ice cream and novelties at Food Basics (in Ontario) are labeled as peanut & tree nut free, which has made for some frugal, tasty treats in our house!

so is Irresistibles, and they have flavours I've never tried before....like Cookie Dough, and another that is like Rolo IceCream but safe for peanut/tree nut allergic people.

AnnaMarie, did you know that Irresistibles ice cream now has a 'may contain peanut' warning? My Cayley is devastated! She finally gets to try cookies and cream ice cream, loves it for a year and now she can't have it anymore. :( Do you know anything about why they changed it from peanut-free to may contain? :scratchy

I used to get the Irresistibles Icecream but the labelling didnt sit well with me... It said certified absence of peanuts and almonds, and then when I checked the website it said something to the effect of that they only certify for the absence of those 2 nuts because markers for others aren't available yet... So why can Chapmans say peanut and NUT free?

I don't buy anything with that certain allergy label anymore.
