Long before I had a son with multiple food allergies I remember hearing that:

"Men grow out of their allergies and women grow into them."

I just remembered it a few days ago. Of course, I know that there are a ton of counter examples (baby girls with allergies and grown men that develop them)...BUT, is there a correlation? Has anyone heard this before? It seems that many of the babies and kids discussed on this forum are boys and in real life I only know of women who have developed allergies (myself included: OAS and NSAIDs).
