I was out last week with my mom (I think it was Thursday) and had a moderate reaction: itchy eyes and mouth, cold sores on the corners of my mouth and little red bumps on my lips and aroind my mouth. It's been almost four days and the corners of my mouth are still all cracked and gross, and I still have the little bumps, which need constant moisturizing in order not to hurt. I have tried benadryl cream and have tried a special hydrocortizone ointment from the allergist, and it's not helping. It's not deadly, I suppose, but it is ugly and rather uncomfortable. I was wondering if anyone had any tips for clearing itup a little more quickly? I get these sorts of things once or twice a month just because it is so hard to completely avoid every possible problem, especially when going out. I accept that these things will happen from time to time. I am just wondering if there is a way to clear it up in under a week!
