I ate some tuna that I have never had a reaction with before. TODAY

15 maybe 10 minutes later I start getting uncomfortable like my face feels hot. Then my head itches,my neck back and my shoulders start to burn. My arms got little bumps all over them.I noticed my neck and face have them to. I felt like a million fireants where biting me. I took some benadryl at the frist sign of symptoms and singular 10mg that I had forgotten to take earlier. Now I am really sleepy and my mouth feels like cotton and my cheeks are burning. My eyes and my lips are swollen. I am wondering at what point do you go to the Hospital? I think I should have gone but I am alone with my 6 kids. my hubby is coming home early. I am aware that if I ingest fish again I would call 911. So what happens in your reactions and what do you do?

Honestly, knowing what I know about food allergies, I would call 911.
You say your husband is coming home early. do you mean ASAP or earlier that usual? Does he know you're having a reaction?
I would take the kids to the hospital with you and see if you can make arangements to have some one come and pick them up.
Your symptoms may stall at their current level of reaction or they may progress.
It isn't a risk I'd be willing to take.
I hope you're doing better, what ever you decided to do.

Likely this is too late, but I would call 911 as well.

We were told by our local paramedics that if you have kids at home that require supervision to tell the 911 operator that and they will send someone to watch your children (along with the paramedics). The paramedics mentioned that it would likely be a police officer but I do not know if that is always the case.

Sounds like a systemic allergic reaction. I get those from some foods also. They are usually very slow moving throughout the body. I usually wait til my tongue swells before I take off to the ER. The hospital is five minutes away.

Hope you went to the ER.
